A good starting point would be to find the number of wine bottles on average you use. That number should be compared with the average wine bottles you have in your collection.

There is an easy formula:

Number of bottles needed in Wine Cellar = (Bottle Age Average * Average Number of Bottles Consumed A Year ) +  (Bottle Age Average * Average Number of Bottles Consumed A Year )*0.18 + Number of Bottles that you Currently Have

Replacing the numbers we would have:

Bottle Age Average = 4 years
Average Number Of Bottles Consumed a Year= 130
Number of Bottles that you Currently Have = 0

Replacing in our formula:
Number of bottles needed in Wine Cellar = (4*130)+((4*130)*0.18) + 0
Number of bottles needed in Wine Cellar = 520 + 78
Number of bottles needed in Wine Cellar = 598 Bottles in your wine cellar
The 0.18 is a percentage of adjustment for seasonal buying variations.
